The Holy Spirit is our

Advocate

Helper

Counsellor

Comforter

Teacher,

Making Jesus real to us.

This faith is ignited, excited,

Drawn towards Jesus,

Developing a friendship

Most precious.

As love seeks to love

And speaks of love,

The Spirit of truth

Addresses us through Jesus.

“ ‘Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us’.” (John 14 v 8)

Let us then,

Listen to learn

And in learning

Move forwards in faith,

As our understanding

Of the gospel message

Becomes life to us.

The life of Jesus,

Knowing not only love,

But hope, peace

And enormous joy,

All thanks to the Spirit’s effectiveness,

Drawing upon Jesus’ promise

Not to leave us orphaned.

We love forwards

Lovingly accompanied by Jesus.

“By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” (1 John 4 v 13)

“ ‘I will put My Spirit within you an cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep My judgments and do them.” (Ezekiel 36 v 27)
